High poverty rate
The relative poverty rate for children continues to increase. One in seven children is said to be “relative poverty”. In single-parent households, 50% of children are “relative poverty”. As a result, children have lost the opportunity to receive education.
Changes in work style
With the increase in double-income households, children are spending more time alone at home. Also, opportunities to experience nature and social experiences are lost. For this reason, Japanese children have a low level of self-affirmation and many children are not confident of themselves.
